Cristiano Ronaldo just cannot stop scoring in the Champions League this season.
In the first half of Manchester United‘s game away at Atalanta on Tuesday, the Portuguese superstar made it four goals in four games so far in 2021/22 just before the half-time break.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner combined brilliantly with countryman Bruno Fernandes and then fired the ball into the back of the net to draw his side level.
Mason Greenwood’s pass was pinpoint, Fernandes’ back-heel assist was shades of Guti for Karim Benzema from back in the day, Ronaldo’s finish was predictably empathic and the ‘Siu’ celebration from United’s main man was as good as ever.

The assist from Fernandes really was magical and Ronaldo never looked like missing.
He really is an exceptional footballer, one who’s showing absolutely no signs of slowing down, despite being 36 years of age.
Ronaldo and Fernandes’ stunning combination was the lift United required after a pretty dire team performance during the first half in Bergamo.
The Red Devils fell 1-0 behind in just the 12th-minute of proceedings, with David De Gea unable to prevent Josip Ilicic’s tame shot from crossing the line.

De Gea won’t want to watch that attempted save again in a hurry…
The game in Bergamo finished 2-2, with Ronaldo saving United in stoppage-time after Duvan Zapata had put the hosts ahead in the 56th-minute.
