Jamie Carragher has an encyclopaedic knowledge of football, but the former Liverpool star had to Google Maurice Edu before working alongside the former Rangers and United States star on Wednesday night.Carragher and Edu were working together on Wednesday evening’s Champions League fixtures, including Liverpool vs Atletico Madrid, for CBS Sports. They were joined by CBS Sports regulars Micah Richards and presenter Kate Abdo. Before the show started, Richards spotted Carragher browsing Edu’s Wikipedia page on his tablet. And CBS Sports, whose light-hearted Champions League coverage is always a fantastic watch, just had to broadcast the photos to their viewers.p1fjksor3q1so51u24dun1u781957h.jpg(Credit: CBS Sports)Poor Edu, who also had a brief spell with Stoke City but is best known for his time at Rangers between 2008-2012, took it all in good humour. The retired midfielder said to Carragher: “Cheers for that, bro. Cheers!”Richards, who was almost on the floor laughing, shouted: “We’ve been here since 1 o’clock!”p1fjkss89m1fk3f28114b1ou31unj.jpgThe former Manchester City and England full-back then said: “I thought was is he doing on here? Then I’ve seen [Edu’s] name and I was like ‘NO!’ - surely!“So I zoomed in to make sure I got the perfect picture!”

Liverpool record comfortable 2-0 win vs Atletico

The pundits watched Liverpool record a convincing 2-0 victory over Atletico Madrid in the Champions League group stages.

First-half goals from Diogo Jota and Sadio Mane were enough to earn Jurgen Klopp’s side all three points.

Atletico were reduced to 10 men midway through the first half when Felipe was shown a controversial red card and that was the moment that effectively killed the contest.
