Eddie Hall Accuses Thor Of Being “Scared To Lose” After Alleged Charity Deal Snub

Eddie Hall

Eddie Hall has accused long-time rival Hafthor Bjornsson of being “scared to lose” after turning down an offer for charity.

The two men have been having heated exchanges online ahead of an upcoming boxing match that the two men have had in the pipeline for some time and have not been on speaking terms ever since Hall won the Worlds Strongest Man competition back in 2017.

Their scheduled fight for September this year had to be postponed after Hall was forced to undergo surgery on a torn bicep that he picked up during sparring, in what he described as a “lazy hook” that caused the injury.

Despite this, there is still no love lost between Hall and “Thor” as they continue to go back and forth with their words. This time, Hall flagged up a recent event that may have left Bjornsson slightly red-faced.

While details of the rearranged fight, at the time of writing, have yet to be finalised, Hall has put a recent offer on the table that might be added to the fight contract.

Eddie Hall Calls Out Thor

Hall recently put a charity wager out to Bjornsson as a form of challenge, suggesting that he would put $100,000 into a charity of Thor’s choosing if he loses, and the Icelandic strongman will need to do the same if the Stoke-on-Trent born boxer comes out on top.

Hall provided an update on this via his YouTube channel and has accused Bjornsson of being “scared.”

He said:

Well, it’s been over a week and he’s ignored me. I’ve heard from a mutual friend that he doesn’t want to do the deal as he’s scared to lose, which I don’t blame him.

Hall then offered to put a new deal on the table with an added incentive for Thor if he wins the fight.

So, I want to make this a bit easier for you, Thor. Please everyone put pressure on him now. The new deal is, if I beat you [Thor], you have to pay $100,000 to my choice of charity. If you beat me, I will pay $200,000 to your choice on charity. Come on now, don’t ignore me. This is for charity. We’ll get the promoter to write it into the contract so there’s no getting out of it.

Here is the short video that Hall posted.
