FIFA 22: Premier League October POTM Nominees Announced by EA

Eight nominees have been selected by EA to win October's POTM in FIFA 22.

The developers of FIFA 22 have announced eight players that are in the running to win the Premier League (EPL) Player of the Month award for October.

EA will be releasing a Squad Building Challenge (SBC) in Ultimate Team (FUT) over the coming days and a special upgrade to commemorate the best player in the English top-flight over the past four weeks.

Last month, Manchester United talisman Cristiano Ronaldo walked away with the award but his SBC was seismic, to say the least with players given the task of completing 26 squads worth close to 2.5 Million Coins.

With this in mind, FUT gamers could be offered something similar if certain players on this list are picked - whereas for others we are expecting the cost to be not quite as much.

FIFA 22 Premier League POTM October 2021

Mohamed Salah has been nominated for October EPL POTM.

EA shared the nominees on their official Twitter account with some big names included in this month's list, including Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah and Manchester City starlet Phil Foden.

Here is the full list of nominees that could pick up POTM for October 2021 in FIFA 22:

  • Ben Chilwell (Chelsea)
  • Maxwell Cornet (Burnley)
  • Phil Foden (Manchester City)
  • Tino Livramento (Southampton)
  • Aaron Ramsdale (Arsenal)
  • Declan Rice (West Ham United)
  • Mohamed Salah (Liverpool)
  • Youri Tielemans (Leicester City)

As you can see, Salah is easily the most valuable Gold card in FUT right now. At the time of writing, Futbin had his market price at 332k Coins on PlayStation and 268k Coins on Xbox.

No player comes close to this value in the transfer market, with Foden costing just 3.4k Coins while Tielemans is just 2.2k Coins.

The market has yet to recover from its early slump. However, giving Salah the POTM could mean that all of the aforementioned players could shoot up in value as it's expected that high-rated squads will need to be completed to obtain the POTM card.

Time will tell whether this will help - or make the situation even worse!
