An impromptu main event on Wednesday's AEW Dynamite, saw Miro redeem his ticket and brutalize Orange Cassidy, booking his place in the final of the AEW World Championship tournament at Full Gear.

Plus, Andrade el Idolo used his insurance policy to swerve the clause of Malakai Black being banned from ringside to pick up a victory against Cody Rhodes in a hard-hitting encounter.

AEW World Champion Kenny Omega def. Alan "5" Angels

Angels showcased a very resilient and hard-hitting performance, reversing the infamous One-Winged Angel on multiple occasions, while also pushing Omega to many last-gasp two-count kick-outs. However, the best bout machine proved to be too much for Angels and showed us why he is the AEW World Champion by finishing off the match with two brutal v-triggers to get the three count.

After the match Omega cut a small promo getting in the face of a beaten Angels and instructed Nakazawa to get him a chair. Just as Omega was about to hit the infamous One-Winged Angel onto the chair, the music of his former tag team partner and Full Gear opponent "Hangman" Adam Page hit and Omega fled the ring leaving the AEW world title. Page slowly picked up the belt and instructed Omega that he should "hold on tight to it, you've got 10 days" in a simple yet effective promo.

Malakai Black Promo

This short vignette saw Malaki Balck express his opinion on being banned from ringside mentioning Tony Khan directly on multiple occasions about how he doesn't agree with the decision. However, he finished the sequence by saying "When Julius Ceasar was murdered, it wasn't just Marcus". Indicating that he isn't the only problem that Tony has to deal with regarding the Andrade El Idolo vs Cody Rhodes match.

CM Punk Promo

Sends a heartfelt, appreciative message to Jon Moxley, then proceeds to shoot on Eddie Kingston for his actions backstage on last week's Dynamite.

Adam Cole and The Young Bucks segment

Starts with the Superkliq talking about how they fear no one. Christian Cage then emerges and gets threatened that he was outnumbered, in which Luchasaurus then appears and a brawl ensues. As they make their way out from the back and into the arena the Superkliq outnumber the two. That is until Jungle Boy makes his return with a beautiful moonsault off the stage.  The three then dispatch the Young Bucks leaving Adam Cole all alone. Jungle Boy gets his revenge on Cole, locking in the snare trap until he fades. Then to add insult to injury Christian Cage comes back out with two chairs and rattles Cole with a wicked conchairto.

Kris Statlander vs Ruby Soho promo

Short video package of competitors talking about their upcoming quarter-final match against each other and the opportunity of becoming TBS champion.

FTR def. Samuray del Sol & Aerostar: AAA Tag Team Title Match

This match saw AAA stars Samuray del Sol and Aerostar make their AEW debut. This bout saw a blend of wrestling styles. From the spectacular fluent, high-flying Lucha Libre style maneuvers from the challengers, to the hard-hitting, stiff offense of the champions. FTR proceed to disrespect the challengers throughout the whole match, imitating their taunts alongside the interferences from Tully Blanchard gave the champions the edge. This led to a smart yet cheap roll-up victory from Cash Wheeler with the assistance of holding the ropes to ensure the three count.

Shida and Nyla Rose Promo

Nyla Rose and Vickie Guerrero confront Shida backstage and sarcastically congratulate her on finally reaching fifty wins. Proceeds to generate hype for their TBS championship tournament bout by saying "it's not going to be an easy night".

Inner Circle and American Top Team

Fans welcome Inner Circle by bellowing Jericho's theme song Judas. Jericho proceeds to talk about Guevara's victory over Ethan Page last week on Dynamite and how it allows the inner circle the right to choose who from American Top Team faces the Inner Circle in a five-on-five tag team match at Full Gear.

Jake Hager proceeds to pick former UFC heavyweight champion Junior Dos Santos as the first member to compete, then followed by Santana selecting also former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski. Jericho surprises Dan Lambert with his final pick and chooses Dan Lambert himself, in which Lambert is irate as he can't believe what has transpired.

Dante Martin & Lio Rush, Matt Sydal & Lee Moriarty backstage interview

Sydal accepts Martin's choice to align with Lio Rush and introduces his new protege Lee Moriarty. Then issues a tag team match challenge to the pair of Rush and Martin in which they accept.

TBS Championship Tournament: Jamie Hayter def. Anna Jay

Jamie Hayter was accompanied to the ring by fellow group members AEW Women's Champion Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D and Rebel. Anna Jay came to the ring alone.

The two had classic moments throughout the match, with a hard-hitting back and forth display. The match ended with Anna Jay getting distracted by Baker which allowed Hayter to crack Anna Jay on the back of the head and finish it with a Short-arm Lariat Clothesline.

After the match saw the three jump Anna Jay until Britt Bakers Full Gear opponent Tay Conti came down to support her friend, then Hayter's quarter-final opponent Thunder Rosa stormed to the ring to even the odds.

Jade Cargill Segment

Talks about the TBS tournament and says she plans on making it "short and sweet" and naming the TBS title "that b*tch show".

MJF and Darby Allin exchange words before Full Gear

MJF insinuates how he and Darby are the pillars of AEW and are the future of AEW, as they can become "legendary". The promo ends with Darby brawling with MJF in the crowd. A perfect taster for Full Gear.

Andrade El Idolo def Cody Rhodes

One of the many dream AEW bouts. Filled with technical, hard-hitting spots. A very back and forth contest making both competitors look strong.

The end of the match saw Andrade's assistant Jose get up on the apron, distracting the referee. Then he is pulled down and met with a stiff left hand from Arn Anderson. As the ref was still distracted with the two associates, Cody sets up for a dive through the middle ropes in which he is met with a shot to the head with the AAA World Tag titles by FTR. This isn't the first time FTR has assisted Andrade and something tells me this is what Malakai Black was on about from his Julius Caesar reference in his promo. Andrade proceeds to hit Cody with the El Idolo DDT to win the match.

After the match saw a face-off between icons Tully Blanchard and Arn Anderson. As Anderson was surrounded, the Lucha Brothers came to Cody's aid.

Rampage match previews

Starts with John Silver in the ring with Tony Schiavone. Silver discusses his match with Adam Cole. This then leads into a video package of the upcoming TBS tournament match of Red Velvet and The Bunny. Then shows the altercation on last week's Rampage between Eddie Kingston and CM Punk.

Miro def. Orange Cassidy in Semi-Finals of AEW World Title Tournament

This impromptu main event saw Miro fill the vacant spot in the world title eliminator tournament.

The bout began with Orange Cassidy running away from Miro so he could do his signature taunt of placing his hands in his pockets. He is then met by a spine-cracking belly-to-belly suplex on the outside.

As the match progresses, Cassidy gains some momentum and hits a top rope maneuver crashing Miro through the ring-side table. Cassidy then sets up Miro for the signature orange punch. However, he just can't connect with it and is met by a monstrous reversal which launches Orange in the air and crashes him hard onto the mat. Miro follows up with a savage Machka kick and finishes Cassidy's world title hopes with the Game Over.

After the match, Miro comes face to face with his Full Gear opponent, Bryan Danielson. Danielson sticks his hand out in a sign of respect and Miro neglects it smirking and backing away from Bryan, closing the show.
