Arsenal target Patrick Herrmann is being lined up for transfer by Napoli, according to talkSPORT.

The Germany under-21 international has scored twice already this season in 10 appearances for his club Borussia Monchengladbach.

Arsenal have been monitoring the midfielder, however Napoli are now reportedly interested.

With the Italian's hoping their debut in the Champions League will be a regular occurrence, they're keen to expand their squad with Herrmann one of their targets

Arsenal had hoped to utilise Herrmann in the same way and would have to pay as little as £3 million.

Both Arsenal and Napoli could launch a New Year bid to spark a transfer battle.
