WWE has reportedly come to terms with the release of several stars, with the wrestlers coming from Monday Night Raw, Friday Night SmackDown and NXT 2.0.

Earlier on today, rumours starting circulating on social media that WWE was preparing to release several names, and these individuals have now been revealed by various reports.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful and PWInsider are both reporting that WWE released 18 wrestlers today, with some rather surprising names on that list.

Below is the full list of talent that WWE reportedly released today, at least as we know of right now.

  • Gran Metalik
  • Harry Smith
  • Jeet Rama
  • Jessi Kamea
  • Karrion Kross

As noted in the above tweet by Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer, and as has been corroborated by Sean Ross Sapp, the talent releases were due to "budget cuts".

Sapp notes that talent were emailed and told about the releases as "budget cuts" in an email from John Laurinitis.

What makes the news of "budget cuts" even more interesting is that in WWE's investors call today, the company recorded profits of a staggering $255.8 million for the third quarter of 2021.

As always, everyone here at GiveMeSport wishes nothing but the best for the talent released by WWE today.
