Journalist Paul Brown has claimed that Everton's players don't know their roles on the pitch at the moment.
After making a positive start to the season, things have taken a turn for the worse in recent weeks at Goodison Park, and Brown is concerned about the way things are progressing under Rafael Benitez.

The Toffees picked up 10 points from their opening four matches this term, as Benitez got his time in charge off to a flyer.
However, Everton have lost four of their last six top-flight games, and there have been some particularly worrying signs recently.
The team capitulated against Watford last month, conceding four late goals to slip to a 5-2 home defeat, and they started off November by putting in a dismal first half display on their way to a 2-1 loss at Wolves.
What has Brown said about Everton?
After observing Everton's latest setback at Molineux, Brown has suggested that it is unclear as to how Benitez is planning to take the side forward.
Speaking about Everton's players, he told GIVEMESPORT: “They’re not even really sure what they’re supposed to be doing on the pitch at times, it seems to me. So, I think there are suddenly deep problems there in that dressing room.”

How can Everton turn things around?
It has not been easy for Benitez lately, as the Spaniard has had to cope without some of his best players. Dominic Calvert-Lewin has missed the majority of the season with a fractured toe, while Abdoulaye Doucoure is currently sidelined with a foot injury.
However, many would still expect a Benitez side to be better organised than they are at the moment. In their last couple of performances, the team have looked very disjointed, with the defence all over the place at times, and the midfield offering their backline very little protection.
This issue needs to be solved, as right now, Everton are too easy to break down, and they are conceding far too many soft goals.
The side are still scoring at the other end, so that doesn't seem to be major problem, but if they keep making basic errors at the back, they will find it very difficult to get back to winning ways any time soon.
Eradicating these mistakes will be key to them rediscovering their best form, and bringing their losing run to an end.
