How good is it seeing football stadiums packed again?
The coronavirus pandemic robbed us of a lot of things and being able to go to football matches was one of them.
The late, great Jock Stein once said “Football without fans is nothing” and it’s fair to say he was spot on.
Football just wasn’t the same behind closed doors with supporters being confined to their armchairs.
But now we’re back.
This season, stadiums up and down the country have been packed and the atmosphere is better than ever.
We have our game back.
We don’t have the statistics at hand but it wouldn’t be a surprise if home advantage has become a thing again this campaign. Without fans, there were more away wins than ever before.
But with supporters back making noise, home grounds are beginning to turn into fortresses again.
But how well do you know the fortresses in England?
Well, we’ve decided to test your knowledge and create the ultimate English football ground quiz.
There are 20 pictures of stadiums in England and you’ve simply got to name the club that plays their home games there.
It’s as simple as that.
We’ve even created a little scoring system to separate the armchair supporters from the groundhoppers.
- 0-4: You’re an armchair fan
- 5-9: You’ve been to a few games
- 10-14: You know your grounds
- 15-19: Proper English football fan
- 20/20: Ground-hopping king
Make sure you let us know in the comments section on Facebook what score you get and tag your mates to get them involved!
