Roy Keane was absolutely livid with Manchester United during their 2-0 defeat to Manchester City on Saturday afternoon.Having already declared: "I give up!" during the half-time interval, the Red Devils legend proceeded to systematically break down the United squad during his post-match analysis in the Sky studio.Keane was incensed with the manner in which United were defeated in front of their own fans with an Eric Bailly own goal and Bernardo Silva strike seeing City canter to the three points.

Keane rips into Man Utd players

The 50-year-old has always had a reputation for pulling no punches with his punditry, but even by his standards, it was clear that the nature of United's performance had really struck a nerve.

Here are just some of the remarkable one-liners that Keane came out with after the game:

"Anyone tells me that Fred is good enough for United is living in cuckoo land."

"If Ole walked in here now, I would grab him and ask 'why are you playing Fred in the middle of the park?'."

"Defensively, I wasn’t shocked when Eric Bailly sliced that into his own net. He’s got that in his locker. He’s erratic."

"Scott McTominay, who I know is learning his trade. Fred in midfield. These players are not good enough for Man United."

"If you've got bluffers on the bus with you, and you're dependant on Shaw and Wan-Bissaka, Ole you might be better off out of it."

Keane loses his rag with Richards

However, there was one particular moment when the conversation moved towards Donny van de Beek where Keane became incredibly animated and impassioned against Micah Richards.

With Richards making a point about how infrequently Van de Beek has played under Solskjaer, Keane looked to be on the verge of swearing as he batted away suggestions that the Dutchman is the answer.

You can check out the moment that punditry duo went head-to-head in the studio down below:

Wowsers. It's fair to say that things got a little bit tense...

Fair play to Keane for feeling so passionately about his side of the argument, but you can't help thinking that he lost his rag a little bit there and the scenes in the studio became rather surreal.
