Back in 2018, Romelu Lukaku shared his belief that the Premier League should host an all-star game at the end of the season.

Taking to Twitter, he wrote: "Here’s an idea for you guys... the Nba has all-star game! Don’t you guys think we should organise one in the Premier League... The north vs the south! And the fans vote... what do you guys think?"

But what would the teams look like should an all-star game be played right now?

We've had a go at picking the XIs for both the north and the south. View them below...

So, which team would win? Both sides are stacked with talent but it's hard to pick against the north XI.

The north XI have a very solid defence and have a mouthwatering front five featuring De Bruyne, Fernandes, Mane, Salah and Ronaldo.

The fact that players including Robertson, Foden and Grealish won't even make the best XI just goes to show how strong the side is.

The south XI is still very strong and features a potentially lethal striker duo of Kane and Lukaku.

But, on paper, the south XI doesn't quite have the same star power as the north XI.

That doesn't necessarily mean they will come up on the losing side, though.

An all-star game would be a fascinating watch and we would be more than happy to see Lukaku's idea come to fruition.
