Keith Lee was one of 18 wrestlers released by WWE on Thursday evening, and we now have some additional information on why WWE decided to let the former NXT Champion go.

Fans were shocked to see Keith Lee had been released, especially considering how he beat Randy Orton in his first week on Raw, but we now have a better idea as to why the decision was made.

A new has claimed that the decision was made by WWE higher-ups due to alleged "attitude problems" that Keith Lee had.

PWTorch's Wade Keller is reporting that WWE sources told him that Keith Lee had "attitude problems". The report even notes that people who were "rooting" for Lee were "frustrated with him"

Keith Lee, who I have chronicled for months and months and months and months and months, was somebody that even people that were rooting for him behind the scenes, became frustrated with him. He just had, in general, attitude issues or, as one wrestler told me tonight, perceived attitude issues. Hedging a little bit, others have said outright attitude problems and he just was frustrated. I’ve heard different things about him in terms of his mood being altered way more than it should in the modern era about being asked to do a job (lose a match).

It seems like Keith Lee, at least based on this report, may have been upset at being asked to lose specific matches by WWE, but there is no word on what those specific matches were.

Keith Lee was perceived by many to be someone with the charisma and in-ring ability to make it to the very top, and fans were also frustrated with how WWE used the 37-year-old.
