FIFA 22 Ultimate Team: Cristiano Ronaldo card sees massive price drop

The Cristiano Ronaldo gold rare card has had a major drop in price on FIFA 22 Ultimate Team

The FIFA 22 Ultimate Team transfer market has been going through somewhat of a turbulent time, and the price of the gold standard Cristiano Ronaldo card is evidence of that.

Ronaldo has been one of the most sought after cards in FUT for some years, with the high-rated player usually being in the 90s for the base gold version.

The FIFA 22 version of Ronaldo is no different at 91 overall, but his price on the transfer market has left players wondering about the state of the market overall.

According to FUTBIN, the base card for Ronaldo has ranged between 129k and 2.4 million over the past few iterations of the game.

The low amount of 129k is just based on estimates, so this may be around the end of a game’s lifecycle and could of course include trade deals between players online. Still, it’s expected that Ronaldo would be worth a massive amount in the early days of a FIFA release.

How Much Is Cristiano Ronaldo Worth in FUT 22?

Prominent FIFA leaker @FUT_Rory drew attention to the price of the base gold card, noting that it is currently only selling for sub 800k coins on the transfer market.

He tweeted: “Ronaldo under 800K at the beginning of November is crazy to see.” FUT_Rory also estimated that the card would even be worth less following the Black Friday event later in November.

“Impossible to say but the way it’s going he’s gonna be under 500K” the leaker wrote in response to a question from a fellow gamer.

It is especially interesting to see Ronaldo go for so little, relative to previous years, as he is now again playing for Manchester United.

A large number of FIFA Ultimate Teams are based around the Premier League, and having CR7 at the top of the starting 11 makes sense for a lot of Prem based squads.

With the quality of the striker and the mainstream appeal of his cards in the game, we will probably see SBCs and special cards dedicated to him as the season rolls on, so his pricing for the standard gold card may drop exponentially, time will tell.
