The Rock has outright denied that there is any truth to the reports that he is preparing to make a huge return to WWE.

Reports have suggested that WWE wants The Rock to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39, with the show set to take place in Hollywood in April 2023.

Fans seem to think the deal is wrapped up, but The Rock has seemingly outright denied that there is any truth to the reports that he's making a comeback.

Speaking to Andrew Freund, Dwayne Johnson said that while he has a close relationship with Roman Reigns, there are no plans for him to return to WWE, at least as of right now.

"There is no truth to that right now, possibly down the road we will see. We stay very close, myself and Roman Reigns, and I'm very happy and very proud of the work that he's doing"

The Rock has kept the door open for a return in the future, suggesting that it could happen "possibly down the road", but reports that the deal is done seem to be slightly wide of the mark.

It's also possible that The Rock could have already agreed to return to WWE in 2023, but as we have seen in the past, is just trying to keep the element of surprise there for fans.

Regardless, this certainly won't be the last we hear regarding a potential return to WWE for The Rock, so stay tuned to GiveMeSport for any potential updates on the matter.
