Jon Jones insists he 'definitely won't be going back' to Jackson Wink MMA - just a few weeks after being banned by longtime coach Mike Winkeljohn!

The former UFC light-heavyweight champion was arrested in Las Vegas last month and charged with misdemeanour battery domestic violence and injuring or tampering with a vehicle.

Jones, 34, was barred from entering the gym as a result of his latest run-in with the law but it seems he has no intention of ever returning to the place he once called home.

Taking to Twitter on Sunday night, he wrote: "Definitely won’t be going back but I will continue to root for all the fighters that are training there.

"I do believe my training methods and sessions have improved significantly since changing environments.

"Grateful for all the time I got to spend there, everything has its time."

Following the earth-shattering revelation, one Twitter user took it upon themselves to give Jones a piece of advice.

"Literally anywhere but Jackson Wink. That gym is not relevant anymore dude, you carried them for 10 years," wrote @dsfrwwa.

Jones, 34, read to what he had to say, before replying: "I don’t feel like I carried the team, we have lots of guys doing amazing things out of that gym.

"I will admit the program isn’t at the level it used to be, and hasn’t been for a while now."

And after spending almost the entirety of his career training in the harsh climate of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Jones admits he is looking for a change in scenery.

Jones added: "I know I won’t be able to train in my garage forever, eventually I’m going to need more training partners. Mainly wrestling partners and kickboxers.

"I’m on the lookout for teams that I’ll be able to visit and come train with, maybe get some sparring sessions in."
