Sunderland in pole position for Swedish striker

Robert Mirosavic has returned to Wearside for the second time this month.

Steve Bruce is said to be in talks with the 16-year-old, according to Sky Sports, and the young Swede, who trained with Sunderland earlier this month, impressed on his first visit.

The Black Cats boss wants to get the deal done as interest is growing from other Premier League clubs, as well as the previous interest from Arsenal and Liverpool.

Interest has also come from Germany and Spain, with Bayern Munich and Real Madrid also watching Mirosavic, but Sunderland remain favourites to land the Swede with him having a far better chance of breaking into their first team in the near future.

Mirosavic is Sweden's under-17 skipper and is predicted to be the next big star in his homeland.

This hype is not hard to believe due to the fact the scarlet scored 52 goals in 45 games for his club Helsingborgs’ youth sides last season.
