Modric demands Spurs' form remains

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Luka Modric says the squad are full of confidence following their nine-match unbeaten league run.

Victory over Aston Villa gave Spurs their eighth win in nine games, and moved them up to third, leap frogging London rivals Chelsea and Newcastle United.

The team head to West Bromwich Albion this weekend, looking to extend their unbeaten run and Modric says he can feel confidence flowing through the squad.

"It was a very important game for us because it was the first game after the international break," he said. "We were away from each other for a long time and it was important to win.

"Villa have good players, international players with lots of experience, but we showed how much quality we have.

"We're up to third place and there are hard games coming up," added Modric.

"We need to keep going and just keep up this momentum. We're playing well, we're fighting for each other and we need to keep going.

"We are full of confidence. We've won eight games out of nine and that is fantastic form in the Premier League."
