Alan Pardew says Newcastle will sell Danny Simpson if he fails to sign a new contract with the club.
The Toon hierarchy are keen for Simpson to decide his future in January, with only 18 months left to run on his current deal.
Simpson, though, has yet to give a clear indication that he sees his long-term future at Newcastle; especially with big-money summer signing Davide Santon now fit to feature.
And Pardew has urged the 24-year-old to decide on his future before it is too late.
“If we can’t reach agreement, he’ll have to move on," the Newcastle boss said.
“Davide Santon is desperate to play and is ready now. It’s a delicate situation that’s as dangerous for Danny as it is for us.”
Meanwhile, Sylvain Marveaux faces up to four months out after undergoing surgery on his right hip and groin.
The French winger joined Newcastle on a free transfer from Rennes, having reportedly failed a medical at Liverpool.News Now - Sport News
