Alan Pardew believes Newcastle goalkeeper Tim Krul has all the attributes to become one of the finest glovemen in the game.
The 23-year-old has kept four clean sheets in 15 appearances for the Magpies this term as they continue to impress all and sundry with their performances in the Barclays Premier League.
Krul further enhanced his reputation on Saturday as Newcastle held out for a 1-1 draw against title holders Manchester United, making a number of fine saves.
Pardew has praised the Dutchman for his recent exploits - and believes he has improved dramatically in a short period of time.
“Tim still had a lot to do when I first arrived here," said the Newcastle boss.
“During his first spell in goal I thought he looked a bit nervous, but we have given him the belief he can take his chance.
“His performances have been outstanding this season, he has just grown from strength to strength.
“He has already become a very accomplished goalkeeper.
He added: “Tim has one heck of a future ahead of him if he keeps his feet on the floor, keeps working hard on his game. Who knows what he can achieve?”
