Florent Malouda expects Chelsea to right the wrongs of the defeat to Bayer Leverkusen and progress to the final 16 of the Champions League.
The Blues lost 2-1 to Leverkusen in their last European outing - a win which saw the German side confirm their route of the group stage.
Chelsea must now register a victory or a goalless draw against Valencia on Tuesday to ensure they follow suit and secure a passage into the knockout rounds.
And Malouda is confident Andre Villas-Boas' side will get the result required at Stamford Bridge.
"We have done a big mistake in Germany against Leverkusen and we have to correct that at home in front of our fans," the Frenchman winger told Sky Sports News.
"We want to have our fans behind us. That is what we need at the moment.
"We don't think about defeat. We have a positive way of thinking.
"What we are looking for is a victory to qualify. Every time we start a game it is to win, so we are not thinking about this scenario."
