Valencia striker Roberto Soldado says his side are confident of knocking Chelsea out of the Champions League when the pair meet at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night.

The Spanish striker, who scored a hat-trick last-time out in the Champions League against Genk is aiming to gun down The Blues and confirm their passage to the last-16.

And Soldado believes Chelsea's problems in Europe can be exploited.

“Valencia are very confident and we will arrive in London believing that we can win this game and qualify," he said.

“We know that we only need a draw to get through, but we will be going for a win.

“That is because we know that Chelsea have a mental block when it comes to the Champions League.

“Chelsea are under so much pressure that we feel that the nerves will get the better of them when it comes to the crunch.

“They have been all over the place in the last few weeks, but looked a little better against Newcastle United.”

Soldado has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool in the January transfer window.

With Luis Suarez having played almost non-stop for most of the year, Liverpool could reportedly be tempted to splash our for Soldado to allow Suarez to have a rest.

With Andy Carroll currently misfiring, the Anfield club have been linked with a £20 million fee for the 26-year-old.
