Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has rejected claims that Yoann Gourcuff is set to join Arsenal during the January transfer window.
Gourcuff's future with Lyon has been the subject of frequent speculation in recent weeks after falling down the pecking order at the Stade de Gerland following a knee injury.
According to reports on Tuesday, the 25-year-old French midfielder is keen to join Arsenal next month, having missed out on the opportunity to move to the Emirates Stadium in the summer.
However, despite the alleged interest of Arsene Wenger in Gourcuff, Aulas has denied that the former Bordeaux star is for sale.
“Yoann is Lyonnais,” said Aulas. “He will be with Lyon on December 31, and obviously until June 30. And surely thereafter.”
Arsenal had reportedly attempted to sign Gourcuff on loan in August, and had been linked with a similar move for him in January.
However, it would appear Wenger may have to set his sights elsewhere, and the Gunners boss has also been linked with Mario Gotze and Eden Hazard.
