The agent of Bruno Cortes has confirmed he has been contacted by an unnamed English club regarding the situation of the Brazilian defender.
Cortes made his senior international debut in September and has impressed all and sundry since being sent on loan to Botafogo by Nova Iguacu.
Chelsea have been frequently linked with the 24-year-old in recent weeks and, reports have claimed, Andre Villas-Boas is keen to bring Cortes to Stamford Bridge as cover for Ashley Cole.
And, says Flavio Trivella, an English side has been in touch regarding his client, although he was unable to confirm whether or not that club was Chelsea.
"I had contact from an English club, but I cannot say the name," Trivella told Calciomercato.com.
"However, it is one of the many teams interested in Cortes."
Along with Cortes, Chelsea have also been linked with Porto's Alvaro Pereira and Holland international Gregory van der Wile in Villas-Boas pursuit of reinforcements at full-back.
