United & Liverpool Brazilian target decides on future

Brazilian starlet Lucas - a reported target for Manchester United and Liverpool - says he is focused on achieving his ambitions with Sao Paulo.

The 19-year-old midfielder is regarded as one of the hottest young prospects currently operating in world football, and has already made an impact for the Brazil national team.

According to talkSPORT, both Sir Alex Ferguson and Kenny Dalglish are keen on Lucas, and previous reports suggested potential January bids could be in the offing.

However, Lucas has no intention of moving to Old Trafford or Anfield before he has completed his objectives with Sao Paulo.

"2011 has been a good year for me and I hope that 2012 is even better," He told O Globo.

"For the new year I have some great objectives and they all go through Sao Paulo.

"I want to win a title and also have a great Olympics in London. After that I will see but I'm only interested in Sao Paulo."

Along with Liverpool and United, Tottenham and AC Milan have also been linked with Lucas.

Meanwhile, both Liverpool and United are also said to be chasing Atletico Madrid defender Diego Godin.
