Parker predicts tough Stoke test

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Scott Parker is expecting a tough encounter when his side travel to the Britannia Stadium to take on Stoke City.

Spurs take their recent record of 10 wins in their last 11 games to Stoke, knowing a win will swell their challenge for the Barclays Premier League title.

But given the hostile atmosphere created by the home support, Parker is expecting no easy ride.

"It is a difficult place to go to. The way they play, they put you under a lot of pressure at times," Parker said.

"They've got the well-documented 'Rory Delap throw' and I think at any time in a game, when you play against Stoke, there's always a chance you could be under pressure in terms of where the ball is on the field.

"There's no doubt, we're going to have to go there and defend as a team and hopefully show our quality going forward to go and win the game.

"We're on a very good run at the moment and things are going pretty well.

"It's about keeping our form, keeping our confidence and continuing to try and grind out results. It's a difficult game at the weekend but we're on a good streak; hopefully we can go to Stoke and get the three points.

"We're confident, we have a rhythm to our game, we know what we need to do, we know how to play. We just need to maintain that."
