Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has said the defeat at Chelsea will make his team stronger in the long run.
The Citizens lost their first game of the season last Monday night at Stamford Bridge, but Mancini thinks it will be good for them.
The Italian is confident there will be no after-effects when his side welcome Arsenal to the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
“ I think that at these moment we should be strong,” said the City boss.
“After one defeat, we can improve - we know what we can do, and in this moment we can become stronger.
“We have never had a problem bouncing back after a defeat, and I am sure we will do it again."
The former Inter boss stressed that his team need to get back to winning ways and that Sunday’s game against strong opposition is the perfect opportunity.
“We play Arsenal on Sunday and at the moment Arsenal are playing very well. It will be difficult but we need to start again,” he added.
“After 15 games we are on top, with two points more than United. The season is long and we are strong enough to start winning again.
“Losing at Chelsea doesn't change anything. We know if we want to win, we should continue to play well, like we did at Stamford Bridge on Monday night.”
