Blues weather Spurs storm

John Terry weathered an onslaught on and off the field but watched Chelsea waste a glut of chances to win a thrilling London derby at Tottenham as both sides' Barclays Premier League title hopes suffered a massive blow with a 1-1 draw.

Petr Cech's second mistake in as many games gave Spurs an early lead through Emmanuel Adebayor as they tore into their beleaguered opponents, with their fans also showing no mercy to Blues captain Terry.

Daniel Sturridge equalised and, despite losing both Branislav Ivanovic and John Obi Mikel to worrying injuries, Chelsea should have won the game, although Adebayor had a second goal controversially ruled out.
