Ally McCoist hopes Nikica Jelavic would favour the opportunity to win further silverware at Rangers over financial incentives if targeted by English clubs next month.
The Croatian striker was the subject of a failed £6.5million bid from Leicester in August towards the end of the transfer window. And the Scottish champions could have their resolve tested again in January, with Liverpool having also been linked with their top goalscorer.
McCoist admits Rangers cannot compete financially with clubs south of the border but believes the Glasgow giants still have plenty to offer the striker if he remains at Ibrox. He said: "It's one of the selling points, there is a greater opportunity at a club like this to compete for major honours."
