Lucas Biglia's agent has confirmed that both Manchester United and Arsenal are in pursuit of the player.
The 25-year-old Argentine international has been linked with a handful of clubs across Europe in recent months, with both Arsene Wenger and Sir Alex Ferguson reported to be admirers of the player.
And representative Enzo Montepaone confirmed that Serie 'A' outfit Fiorentina are also monitoring the player's progress in the Belgian league with Anderlecht.
"Fiorentina, Arsenal and Manchester United? The interest of those clubs is real."
Manchester United have been linked with a handful of midfielders following Paul Scholes' retirement in the summer, with Wesley Sneijder, Lucas Rodrigues and Jack Rodwell all speculatively placed on the radar.
Instead of buying big in the position during the past transfer window, Ferguson handed responsibility to Manchester United academy graduate Tom Cleverley, who impressed in the position and broke into the England squad before suffering a foot injury.
That coincided with a run of poor form for the Red Devils at Old Trafford, with an early knockout from the Champions League a major blip for the English champions earlier in the month.
Whilst wins have continued to keep Manchester United on the pace at the top of the Barclays Premier League, the position remains an area the club could potentially strengthen, with Biglia now confirmed on the list of possible targets.
As for Arsenal, manager Wenger has been linked with a move for the six-cap international on a number of occasions in the past 18 months.
His form at the Constant Vanden Stock Stadium has continued to attract admirers, with the Gunners reported to have scouted the player more than once already this season as they consider whether to bring the player to the Emirates Stadium.
The Frenchman spent big in August, strengthening the Arsenal midfield with the additions of Mikel Arteta and Yossi Benayoun on loan.
However, the defensive midfield department is one Arsenal could look to strengthen however, and with Jack Wilshere sidelines until February, Biglia appears to be a man the north London outfit are considering to strengthen in the position.News Now - Sport News
