Sami Khedira has reaffirmed his desire to remain with Real Madrid, seemingly putting an end to speculation that he could join Manchester United.
The 24-year-old midfielder has made seven starts in La Liga this season, and has been frequently linked with a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu.
Old Trafford has been touted as a potential destination for Khedira, as Sir Alex Ferguson scours the market for January midfield reinforcements.
The United boss is without Darren Fletcher for the foreseeable future, while Anderson is sidelined until the New Year, and recruitments could be made next month.
However, it would appear that Khedira will not be making the move to Manchester, and he will instead continue to fight for his place in Madrid.
"I want to stay at Real Madrid for a long time," the German said, according to talkSPORT.
"It is said that the second year at a big club is more difficult, but I am happy with how it is going."
