Reported Manchester United target Jordi Alba is expects to reach an agreement with Valencia over a new contract.
The versatile Valencia defender has risen to prominence this season and was has been rewarded for his exploits with a number of appearances for Spain.
According to skysports.com, Sir Alex Ferguson could possibly bring Alba to Old Trafford as a long-term successor for Manchester United left-back Patrice Evra.
Valencia, though, are in talks with the 22-year-old over signing a new deal in order to keep United and others away from the youngster.
And Alba believes he will put pen to paper sooner rather than later.
"It's still the same, there was a first contact and now my agents are working on it and I'm not too focused because I am confident in the work of my representatives," he said.
"Everything will work out, things will go on, but people must understand that I devote myself to playing and trying to do my best and do not worry about anything else."
