Porto president Pinto Da Costa does not expect Hulk's £83.5million buyout clause to be met this month, but admits it is likely to happen in the future amid reported interest from Chelsea.

According to skysports.com, the 25-year-old Brazilian forward - who is regarded as one of the hottest properties in Europe, has attracted attention from a host of top European clubs.

Hulk refused to rule out a January move away from the Estadio do Dragao on Monday, saying he would consider a switch if the right deal presented itself to him.

Blues boss Andre Villas-Boas has been credited with an interest in the South American striker, but his staggering release clause means his arrival at Stamford Bridge is unlikely.

But while Da Costa says he would not be shocked if a club like Chelsea broke the transfer record to capture their star player, he does not expect it to happen in the current window.

"I hope that no one meets Hulk's buyout clause," he said. 'But I would not be surprised if someone pays it one day.

"I would like, however, that no one paid that figure."
