Newcastle captain Fabricio Coloccini says he has had no contact regarding a proposed January transfer to Liverpool.
The 29-year-old Argentine has 18 months to run on his current deal and has yet to commit to an extension, although he is expected to do so before the end of the month.
Liverpool are reported to have been monitoring Coloccini's situation at St James' Park and Kenny Dalglish has been linked with a winter swoop for the defender's signature.
However, Coloccini is not thinking about moving to Anfield, and is content with life as a Newcastle player.
"One of the names mentioned was Liverpool, but I haven't spoken to anybody," he said, according to Liverpool-Kop.
"I don't think Newcastle are thinking about my exit.
"I have never wanted to pay attention to rumours about offers from other clubs.
"I have experienced this at many clubs and the best thing is to focus on your work and wait for developments."News Now - Sport News
