Arsenal are reportedly preparing to formalise their interest in Anderlecht striker Matias Suarez.
The 23-year-old Argentine has scored 14 times in 24 appearances this season, and has been attracting plenty of attention from elsewhere.
According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal are now lining up a £10 million bid for Suarez, as Arsene Wenger looks to further reinforce his attack.
The Gunners boss has already recruited Arsenal legend Thierry Henry on a short-term loan, but is said to be keen to add more goalscoring options to his ranks.
Arsenal are short in their forward deparment with Marouane Chamakh and Gervinho on international duty at the Africa Cup of Nations, and Wenger wants to relieve the scoring burden on Robin van Persie.
Henry will be able to do that - but only for a limited period - so Wenger could bring in another striker before the close of the transfer window.
Along with Suarez, Arsenal have also been linked with German star Lukas Podolski and Brazilian youngster Leandro Damiao.
