Sporting CP teenager Joao Teixeira is reportedly attracting the interest of Liverpool.
The 18-year-old midfielder has been impressing at the Estádio José Alvalade, and played a starring role for Sporting during the NextGen series.
It was in this tournament that Teixeira won the admiration of Liverpool, having excelled against the Reds' crop of youngsters.
According to the Daily Express, Kenny Dalglish is now considering a move to add Teixeira to his Anfield ranks during the transfer window.
The Reds boss has made a concerted effort to invest in youth since his return to the club, having signed the likes of Marc Pelosi and Seyi Ojo.
Liverpool's academy already boasts a number of exciting prospects, with Adam Morgan and Raheem Sterling particular capturing the imagination of Reds fans.
And, should Teixeira move to Merseyside, he will undoubtedly provide some intrigue for the Anfield faithful, having graduated through the same youth system as Cristiano Ronaldo and Nani.
