Racing fans around the world are excited about the arrival of F1 22 later this year.

The single-seater series gained massive popularity in 2021 thanks to the way that the championship panned out between Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen and the emergence of eSports competition.

As a result, fans, young and old, will be keen to find out everything about this year's game from EA and Codemasters. The launch of F1 22 is just around the corner now and while we don't know absolutely everything about it just yet, the excitement is beginning to ramp up once more.

UPDATE 2nd August 2022: The Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, or the Portimão circuit of Portugal will be introduced to F1 22 today (August 2nd 2022) through a free update for all gamers, according to EA Sports and Codemasters.

F1 22 is coming on 1st July 2022.

UPDATE: 24th June 2022: The latest instalment in the F1 franchise will now feature a 33-song soundtrack featuring well-known artists such as Charli XCX, Hozier, Marshmellow, and James Bay.

UPDATE 15th June 2022: The next EA SPORTS F1 22 game will include a revamped tyre model, adjustments to the My Team managerial option, and cross-platform online play after launch.

F1 2022 is scheduled for release on 1st July 2022.

UPDATE 8th June 2022: Codemasters are launching a trio of gameplay trailers ahead of next month's release. The first focused on physics and handling - where we saw the possibility of seeing ground effect show off porpoising on track.

UPDATE 31st May 2022: A new gameplay features trailer for F1 2022 has confirmed the existence of Portimao and China tracks in the new game, along with plenty of other updates, including new handling, F1 Sprint, and plenty of circuit updates!

UPDATE 9th May 2022: EA and Codemasters have revealed the drivers that are going to feature on the front cover of the game's Standard and Champions Editions.

F1 2022 will allegedly include supercars for the first time.

UPDATE 3rd March 2022: Some interesting details coming out about F1 2022 today. Reports suggest that supercars will be included as part of an interesting new game mode that Codemasters look set to include.

F1 2022 Release Date

An official release date was finally confirmed by EA and players will be happy to know that the game will be released in the summer.

It has been revealed that the game will be released on Friday 1st July 2022.
