Charles Leclerc is one of the best drivers in Formula 1, having risen through the ranks to become a Ferrari driver in 2019, where he remains to this day.

He arrived on the grid as a highly-rated F2 champion, becoming the youngest ever driver to win the series and also only the fourth to win it in his debut season in 2017.

He joined Sauber in 2018 for his rookie F1 campaign and quickly impressed, progressing to Ferrari for 2019 to replace the outgoing Kimi Raikkonen.

He won his first Grand Prix later that year in Belgium, before then winning the Scuderia's home race at Monza in Italy.

The Monegasque is set to race for the Scuderia in 2023, once again alongside Carlos Sainz, and he'll be hoping the Ferrari can challenge for race victories once more.

Leclerc is touted as one of the finest drivers in the sport and many are of the belief that with the right car he will be able to challenge for world championship titles.

In 2019 we saw he could be a race winner with a quick enough car but 2020 and an improved 2021 did not yield a return to the top step for him.

2022 was his best year for a while, but reliability issues and some mistakes from the team, and he'll admit himself, cost him a chance at the championship.

Ferrari know they have a world-class driver on their hands, though, and if the stars align he can, and will, win the F1 world title.
