Jay Spearing looks set to miss Liverpool’s tough game against Stoke at Anfield after limping off with a hamstring complaint in the 1-0 Carling Cup semi-final first leg win over Manchester City.
Jose Enrique missed out on the trip to the Etihad Stadium but is set to regain his place on Saturday.
For Stoke, defenders Jonathan Woodgate, Marc Wilson and Ryan Shotton are a doubt, but Andy Wilkinson could return from a lengthy lay-off.
Kelly wary of Stoke threat
Steven Kelly has warned his Liverpool team-mates not to get complacent after their mid-week victory over Manchester City when they go up against Stoke at Anfield on Saturday.
Liverpool put one foot in the Carling Cup final with a 1-0 win at the Etihad Stadium thanks to a Steven Gerrard penalty, but now they switch their attention back to the battle for a top four spot with a tricky tie against 8th placed Stoke.
The Reds sit three points behind Chelsea, who occupy the final Champions League spot and two points behind Arsenal in 5th place.
Stoke have proved particularly dangerous on the road having won three of their last four games away from the Britannia Stadium, and Kelly believes the game on Saturday is not one which should be taken lightly.
"I think if you ask anyone about Stoke, they'll say they are a tough team to play against," said Kelly.
"If we do what we're good at and get the ball down, play our football and do what we practice in training, we should get the result.
"But with Stoke, they're a big side and they'll come here and be physical and it'll be a tough game.
"Any game in the premiership nowadays is a tough game so we won't take anything for granted as we try and get the result."
Former Liverpool striker Peter Crouch looks set to feature against his former club, however fellow ex-Red Jermaine Pennant will likely miss out on the starting XI once more.
