Npower League One strugglers Wycombe Wanderers have boosted their back line with the loan signing of Sunderland's Louis Laing for one month.
The 18-year-old centre back, who can also play in the full-back position, has been on the first-team fringes at the Stadium of Light, making one senior appearance for the Black Cats; as a substitute in last season's fixture against Wolves.
Wycombe boss Gary Waddock is expected to select Laing immediately in his loan spell, which will last until February 14th.
He said: "We've seen him play a number of times and I know there were some Championship clubs looking at him as well so it's great that we've been able to bring him here."
Laing has gained a wealth of experience having played at four different England international youth levels, most recently turning out for Noel Blake's Under-19 side.
The youngster will be expected to figure in the relegation six-pointer with Rochdale at Adams Park this weekend.
