Liverpool are still reportedly mulling over a January move for Inter Milan striker Luc Castaignos.
The 19-year-old has made only four appearances for Inter since his summer move to the San Siro from Feyenoord and, as of late, has been linked with a move away from Milan.
Castaignos finds himself behind Diego Milito, Diego Forlan, Giampaolo Pazzini and Mauro Zarate in Claudio Ranieri's pecking order but, naturally, is considered to be a player for the future.
However, Anfield has been touted as a potential destination for Castaignos as Kenny Dalglish scours the market for goalscoring reinforcements.
And, according to The Sun, Liverpool continue to monitor the Dutchman, with Dalglish viewing him as a potential back up to the likes of Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll.
Liverpool, though, have also been linked with more experienced strikers as they struggle to find the net in the absence of Suarez.
Tottenham's Jermain Defoe is a reported target for the Reds, while Lille hotshot Moussa Sow has talked up a potential transfer to Anfield.
