Arsenal will reportedly wait until the summer before making an approach for Chelsea striker Salomon Kalou.

The Ivorian forward is out of contract at the end of the season and has expressed a desire to move to pastures new in order to find more regular first-team football.

Arsenal had been linked with a January move for Kalou as Arsene Wenger looked to bring support for Robin van Persie to the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners boss did just that by recruiting Thierry Henry on a two-month loan, and has since stated that he has no desire to add Kalou to his ranks in January.

But, according to The People, Wenger will now wait until the end of the season before attempting to secure the signature of Kalou on a free transfer.

The 26-year-old signed for Chelsea in 2006 but has never established himself as a regular starter at Stamford Bridge.

Things have been no different under the stewardship of Andre Villas-Boas, and has made only four appearances in the Barclays Premier League this season.
