Mario Gotze says he is unable to guarantee he will stay with Borussia Dortmund, amid reported interest in his signature from Arsenal and Manchester United.

The 19-year-old midfielder is regarded by some as the finest young talent German football has produced in decades and, hence, has frequently been linked with a move away from Dortmund.

Both Manchester United and Arsenal have often been mentioned as potential destinations for Gotze, and the latter are reported to have made an approach to sigh him during the summer.

Real Madrid have also been credited with interest in Gotze who, it would appear, Dortmund are resigned to losing in the not too distant future.

However, the Bundesliga champions expect Gotze will still be with the club in the summer, and the Germany international is happy with Dortmund for the time being.

But the youngster is not about to give any guarantees that he will be staying at the Westfalenstadion for the long-term.

"The Champions League is a great competition," he told Kicker. "We will hopefully play a better role in it next season. But my further cooperation with BVB doesn't depend on it.

"Anyone who plays for a club like Dortmund can only imagine extending their stay there. But this isn't a current issue. I wouldn't rule it out, but I won't guarantee it."
