Abdul Aziz's two-week trial at Liverpool has been cut short due to a flu virus picked up by the Swede, according to skysports.com.

The 14-year-old was reportedly undertaking a trial at Anfield starting this week following glowing scouting reports.

However, the bout of flu has denied him of the opportunity to impress with The Reds.

Reports say that the club will offer Aziz a second trial next month following his recuperation, after they beat both Manchester City and Manchester United to the striker.

Reports suggest however, that United will invite the player, known as 'baby Drogba' for a trial as well.

Liverpool have already recruited body Jordon Ibe and Seyi Ojo, and will keen not to allow United to wade in on their deal for the teenager.

The Sierra Leone born forward has impressed with Swedish club ISK Norkopping, while the Swedish Under-15 side are already reaping the rewards of his talent.
