Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly prepared to wait until the summer before launching a bid for Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard.

Former Blues manager Carlo Ancelotti is now at the helm at the Parc des Princes and has been tasked with the job of turning nouveau-riche PSG into European heavyweights.

According to The Sun, Lampard has been identified as an ideal signing for the Ligue 1 club, although Ancelotti will wait until the summer before trying to prise the 33-year-old away from Stamford Bridge.

Lampard's future at Chelsea has been the subject of frequent speculation in recent months after his prominent role in the Blues midfield was restricted somewhat by new boss Andre Villas-Boas.

The England international has been linked with a controversial move to Manchester United, while LA Galaxy have confirmed they are interested in Lampard.

Lampard has started 17 of Chelsea's 22 games in the Barclays Premier League this season, but is likely to miss the weekend FA Cup clash with Queens Park Rangers after suffering a calf injury.
