Manchester United transfer target Xherdan Shaqiri has emerged on the radar of Russian giants Zenit St Petersburg, according to reports.
TalkSPORT claims that Luciano Spalletti's side are preparing a £12 million move for the Swiss international midfielder, who already has 17 caps for his country at the age of 20.
The same report claims Galatasaray are closely monitoring the player, with the Turkish giants weighing up an offer for the player but unable to match the financial power of last season's Russian Premier League champions.
Bayern Munich are also said to have an interest in the player, with the Bundesliga outfit also keen to add the left-footed attacking midfielder at the Allianz Arena.
As for Manchester United, they got to see Shaqiri's talent first-hand in two Champions League meetings with FC Basel earlier this season. A 3-3 draw at Old Trafford was followed by a loss at St. Jakob-Park. It was a defeat which knocked the Red Devils out of Europe's premier club competition.
United were linked with a £10 million move for the player in December, but will now have to pay more to match Zenit's financial might.
