As fruitful a transfer window as Everton fans will remember under David Moyes, with four new additions at Goodison Park.

Donovan returns for a two-month spell, while Darron Gibson was recruited from Manchester United. The deadline day moves saw Nikica

Jelavic paraded in-front of the fans during yesterday’s win over Manchester City, whilst Steven Pienaar return 12 months on from his departure to Spurs.

Jelavic comes with a big reputation from Rangers, having netted 17 goals this term, and David Moyes will be hoping that despite the limited success of strikers moving from the SPL to English football, the Croat can fill the striking void he's been searching for.

Diniyar Bilyaletdinov completed his move to Spartak Moscow just days before the transfer window closed, allowing The Toffees to complete a deal for Jelavic. The sale of Saha won't be seen as a great loss on Merseyside, given the Frenchman's poultry sum of goals this term.

Close shaves

Danijel Pranjic, who has also been courted by Liverpool, has revealed how close he came to joining Everton on deadline day, before Bayern Munich demanded a huge transfer fee for his services.

The club also missed out on bringing in Kostas Manolas, despite a fee reportedly being agreed on deadline day. Talk of Kevin Doyle moving instead was quickly dismissed.
