Update 1.16 has arrived in F1 2021 and we have all of the details that you need to know regarding the latest patch.

While all of the new circuits that featured during the 2021 FIA Formula 1 World Championship have now been to the virtual racing sim, EA and Codemasters have refused to rest on their laurels and have continued to make in-game technical changes with new patches.

Last time out, we saw the introduction of custom teams from various influencers, as well as AI reductions on specific tracks and details concerning garage bugs.

With the 2022 Formula 1 season not too far away, fans around the world are getting hugely excited to see wheel-to-wheel action taking place once more, which has led many gamers back to F1 2021 to get their intake of intense racing around some of the most famous circuits in the world - including Monaco, Silverstone and Azerbaijan.

F1 2021 Update 1.16 Patch Notes

Via EA's official website, here are the official list of patch notes for update 1.16:

Online

  • Addressed an issue where re-joining a qualifying session would result in the session timer being reset for that user.
  • Addressed an issue where host and client could struggle to get into the same league event if they previously declined to proceed to the next session.

General

  • Ghosting can now be disabled in Two-Player Career.
  • Penalties given for collisions under the Safety Car will be more fairly distributed.
  • Resolved a crash when attempting to back out from the Official F1® 2021 Championship and attempting to re-enter on consoles.
  • Resolved a crash when selecting a salary with your current team having cancelled negotiations with them previously.
  • Previous simulation settings in Grand Prix will now be remembered when starting a new Grand Prix event.
  • General stability improvements.
  • Various minor fixes.
