Neil Lennon will appeal the controversial dismissal of Daniel Majstorovic during Celtic's 1-0 win over Inverness at Parkhead which restored their four-point lead over Rangers at the top of the Clydesdale Bank Premier League.

On the hour mark Majstorovic was shown a straight red card by referee Steven McLean for a 'last man' challenge on Caley midfielder Jonny Hayes, who later admitted that he thought the Sweden international had "got the ball".

"I am going to speak to the club about it and see if there is grounds for appeal," he said. "I thought he got the ball. How the linesman could give it is beyond me and there were some very inconsistent decisions out there today."
