Manchester United have named a strong squad for tomorrow night’s Europa League clash against Ajax.

Sir Alex Ferguson vowed to take the competition seriously after being eliminated from the Champions League in December, and has remained true to his word with a strong 20-man party flying to the Netherlands.

Phil Jones and Chris Smalling are the notable inclusions, with the young England international duo returning from injury for the meeting against the Godenzonen.

Ashley Young also travels to the Amsterdam Arena after missing the clash with Liverpool at the weekend, whilst Nani is another player back from injury and available.

Ryan Giggs, Dimitar Berbatov and Patrice Evra have all been left out of the side, and join a crop of injured players including Anders Lindegaard, Nemanja Vidic, Darren Fletcher, Anderson and Michael Owen at home.

Ezekiel Fryers and Paul Pogba are the high-profile youngsters included, whilst Tom Cleverley will also be hoping for a start after returning to the squad against the Reds on Saturday.

Manchester United Squad: De Gea, Amos; Fabio, Rafael, Evans, Jones, Smalling, Fryers, Ferdinand; Valencia, Nani, Carrick, Young, Park, Scholes, Cleverley, Pogba; Rooney, Hernandez, Welbeck.
