Manager Ally McCoist has assured fans he will do all he can to take the club forward as Rangers aim to successfully come through administration.

He has already dismissed any possibility of quitting the job after the Scottish champions were forced to call in the administrators on Tuesday over an unpaid tax bill accrued since Craig Whyte's takeover last May.

Ahead of today's Clydesdale Bank Premier League game against Kilmarnock, McCoist said: "My job in the last nine months has been to manage the football team and get the best out of the football team. That will continue."
